Our range of inks includes fast setting systems, quick setting gloss systems, and high rub inks. Every product undergoes a wide range of Quality Control tests, performed in a temperature controlled air conditioned laboratory. These tests are intended to mirror the end use requirements of the product. Only when we are totally satisfied the product meets the highest standards will it be allowed to leave our facility.
Computerized color matching gives many benefits to both printers and ink manufacturers. First, color matching can be carried out very quickly and with a great degree of accuracy. If a slight variation in matching is subsequently required – to suit different lighting conditions, for example – then the computer settings can be easily amended. Secondly, the computer will cost each formulation – allowing matches to be selected for economy as well as accuracy. Waste or redundant inks can be added to the database for use in new formulations. The computer will compensate for matching on colored substrates.
Finally, the computer program allows for the storage of known formulae’s, so when a new match is needed, the computer will search all existing shades held under that customer’s name and select the nearest match. We are provided with training and operational support so that the benefits from the computer can be passed on to our customers and Gibbon Printing Inks.
